Galentine’s Day

Everyone knows February 14 is Valentine’s Day but today we’re celebrating February 13 which is better known as Galentine’s Day. This year, show your best gals some love by hosting a spirited soiree. We’re covering all the essentials with a festive food ideas, appropriate decor and a options for a signature cocktail.

A Waffle Bar is a perfect option for your Galentine’s celebration. It’s easy on the host and gives guests an opportunity to build their own plate. You can buy waffles at the store or make them from scratch – whatever works best for you! Offer a berries and chocolate chips in cute bowls as toppings.




For other food option, Donut Skewers and Mini-Frittattas make for perfect party bites.

Mini Frittattas:

  • Eggs
  • Ham
  • Red Peppers, cooked
  • Goat cheese crumbles

Scramble eggs. Spray muffin tin with nonstick spray. Add eggs to each spot filling about half way. Top with remaining ingredients. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20-25 minutes.


Donut Skewers:

Layer various flavors of donut holes on skewer and serve.


When it comes to decor, pastels and hues of pink are the way to go. Buy paper plates, delicate fabric and channel your inner DIY self to create a pretty table setting.  Balloons, picture frames and silly decorations add a personal touch to your Galentine’s.

Last but certainty not least, every Galentine’s party must have a signature cocktail. Here are three options for your ladies:

The Bee’s Knees

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 oz peach nectar
  • 3 mint leaves
  • 4 oz Korbel Sweet Rose  California Champagne

Add honey, mint and peach nectar to glass and muddle. Add ice an top with Korbel and a mint spring.



  • 2 oz el Jimador Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • 3 oz Korbel Brut Organic California Champagne
  • Lime wedge

Pour tequila, lime and lemon juice into a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a rocks glass over ice. Top with Korbel. Garnish with a lime wedge.

Lemon Crush

  • 3 1/2 cups pink lemonade
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • 750ml Korbel Brut Rose California Champagne

Add pink lemonade and lemon juice to pitcher or container with ice. Top with Korbel Brut Rose. Serve individually.
